Documentation
Three sections. Read them in order the first time: the first gets you running, the second explains what the app is doing with your orders, the third explains the agents.
-
Getting started
What you need, how accounts and invitations work, installing the app and getting past the first-launch warning, the four first-run steps, the settings worth visiting before your first agent, and what does and does not leave your Mac.

How investing works
The trading day, the order types TICKERSMITH can place, positions and lots, paper against live, the risks you are actually taking, how to read the numbers, watchlists and charts, and scenarios.
-
Trading with agents
What an agent is, all eleven strategies, every check the order gate makes, the exit loop, approvals, the agent lifecycle, the kill switch, what models cost, and the honest limits.
What you need
- An Apple-silicon Mac on macOS 13 or later.
- The Mac awake during the session windows of the agents you start. Agents run only while TICKERSMITH is open.
- A TICKERSMITH account, which every Mac signs in to.
- A Robinhood account connected through Robinhood's Agentic Trading. It supplies quotes, one-minute bars, the gapper scan and news — in paper mode too — and is the only market data source.
- An API key for at least one model provider, if you want to run a model strategy. Rule strategies need none.
Where to start
Before any agent, open Scenarios and try a strategy on past days. Then create one paper agent on a small allocation and watch it for a few sessions. Switching a copy of it to live is a separate, deliberate decision.
Not financial advice. TICKERSMITH is software for practicing and running trading strategies. It can lose money. Start every agent in paper, and switch a copy to live only when you trust it.
